LifeLetter

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

LifeLetter ("we," "us") is operated by LifeLetterApp LLC. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account info (email, name, username, bio, profile photo); content you create (letters, images, and related metadata); your connections and the people you choose to share with; engagement data (reads, responses); device and push-notification tokens if you enable notifications; and basic technical/usage data needed to operate the app.

How we use it

To provide and operate LifeLetter — creating your account, publishing and delivering your letters to the people you choose, showing your front page, enabling connections and newspapers, sending notifications you've enabled, and keeping the service secure.

How we share it

We use Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Apple for push notification delivery; and Stripe for payments on our website only (the iOS app does not process payments). We do not sell your personal information and do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your content & audience

Letters are shared with the people you connect with or publish to. A public profile/letter link may display your name, username, photo, and published letters.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, letters, connections, newspaper memberships, reports, and related data are erased and cannot be recovered.

Reporting & blocking

You can report content or users and block users at any time. Reports are reviewed by our team.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately as described above. Aggregate, non-identifying logs may persist for security.

Children

LifeLetter is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our infrastructure provider. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new date here.
